What is Islam?

Islam is Total Submission to Allah(Subhanna wata'allah), creator of Heavens and Earth and everything within them. Islam (/ˈɪslɑːm/;[A] Arabic: اَلْإِسْلَامُ‎, romanized: al-’Islām, [ɪsˈlaːm] "submission [to Allāh]")[1] is an Abrahamic monotheistic religion teaching that Muhammad is a messenger of Allāh. This is the world's second-largest, and the world's fastest expanding religion with an increasing 1.9 billion followers or 24.9% of the world's population, known as Muslims. We, Muslims make up a majority of the population in 51 countries. Our realigion teaches that Allah(God) is One, that thee is no god worthy of worship but He alone. It also teaches as so many attributes of our Creator categorized into 99 names: merciful, all-powerful, and etcetera... Islam has guided humanity through various prophets, through which Allah revealed scriptures with the QUR'AN as the final scripture to all mankind comprisiing a collection of revelations to the last Prophet Mohammed (PBUH), and follows by natural signs through which mankind will be guided. The primary scriptures of Islam are the Quran, the verbatim word of God, as well as the teachings and normative examples (called the sunnah, composed of accounts called hadith) of Muhammad (c. 570 – 632 CE).
